The project represents a boost to innovation and technology transfer in the Atlantic area, encouraging cooperation in the areas of Development, Innovation and Research, and developing systems that enable knowledge transfer between SMEs and the rural research. The partners (Spain and Portugal) form a system of support to local SMEs through the agents of innovation as a key to be adapted to market demands. Therefore, the main objective is to improve productivity and competitiveness of SMEs in rural areas of the Atlantic Area.
Among its specific goals, it will identify patterns of innovation in different regions, participants discussed innovative real cases in various productive sectors chosen by the partners and their transferability to other institutions, with the launch of pilot projects and provide updated information to improve productivity and competitiveness in specific sectors that require innovation. The project has had 5 partners from Spain and Portugal.
